Crowne Plaza Adelaide Hotel
Hines Property successfully delivered the first purpose built internationally branded hotel in Adelaide since the 1980's with the opening of the 4.5 Star Crowne Plaza Adelaide in 2010.
The 308 room hotel was constructed under a single contract with Lend Lease (formerly Baulderstone) as part of Hines Property's $150 million mixed use Hotel and Residential development located on the site of the former Academy Cinemas complex in Hindmarsh Square, Adelaide. Key project achievements include the negotiation of agreements with InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) for the hotel management of Crowne Plaza Adelaide and securing a construction and term finance facility despite the onset of the global financial crisis.
The 16 level hotel includes 308 luxurious and contemporary guest rooms and suites, extensive top floor conference and meeting facilities, Redsalt Restaurant and Bar, a business centre, and a fitness centre including a gymnasium, steam room, sauna, lap pool and spa.
The hotel includes many environmentally sustainable design initiatives which have reduced electricity usage, mains water usage and waste. Some of these initiatives include - rain water harvesting and reuse, performance glazing, energy efficient air-conditioning systems, heat exchanger technology, and use of readily renewable timbers and materials.
In 2017, Hines Property announced that the hotel would be changing hotel operator and brand and would be known as Pullman Adelaide, joining a global network of 5 star hotels managed by Accor Hotels.
