Hines Property has announced plans for a $150 million hotel and luxury residential apartment complex to be built on the site of the Academy Cinemas in the north-eastern corner of Adelaide CBD's - Hindmarsh Square. The landmark project consisting of two towers, will include a 16 Level - 300 room - Crowne Plaza Hotel and a 15 Level luxury residential apartment tower, to be known as
"20 Hindmarsh Square". The development will benefit from over 75 metres of direct parkland frontage and will comprise two individual towers located over a two-level podium.

The hotel tower will be operated by InterContinental Hotels Group as a Crowne Plaza Hotel and include premium conference and meeting facilities, a business centre, ground floor restaurant, bar and lounge, together with the hotel lobby.

The 15-level residential tower will include 1 and 2 bedroom luxurious residential apartments with stunning views of Hindmarsh Square, the city and Adelaide Hills. The residential tower will have a private lobby off Hindmarsh Square with elevators exclusively for use by its residents. Hotel and resident facilities will include a resort-style fitness facility including a gymnasium, pool and treatment rooms.
