29 Twin Street Tower
Standing at 124m, 29 Twin Street Tower is set to become the tallest purpose-built student accommodation building in the world.
To be developed by Hines Property, and designed by global design firm Woods Bagot, 29 Twin Street will incorporate 510 student beds across various accommodation options from single studio rooms through to 5 and 6 bedroom apartments.
The prime Twin Street location is immediately adjacent the Ibis Adelaide Hotel and surrounded by the State Heritage listed Adelaide & Gays Arcade in the heart of the City of Adelaide. The location benefits the development with immediate connections to Rundle Mall (80m away) through to North Terrace, and to the gardens of Hindmarsh Square (100m away). The orientation of the tower promotes incredible views of Adelaide, the City Skyline, the coastline and Adelaide Hills.
The design of the tower creates a simple and singular expression that highlights the verticality and slender feel of the building.
Unique to this development will be the series of shared amenity spaces distributed vertically throughout the tower, connecting its community with a choice of varied experiences that will promote individuality, independence, privacy and social interaction. These include a ground floor cafe and retail experience, mezzanine student hub, Level 5 cinema and events space, Level 11 study and dining area, Level 17 laundro lounge and main student hub, Level 23 internal garden retreat, Level 28 study lounge, and the feature roof terrace with a lawn, gymnasium, yoga and wellness space.
